STORMWATER DRAINAGE SPECIALIST

Dig Right In specializes in a variety of yard solutions primarily for residential customers. We are seeking a candidate with little to no experience who is eager to learn from the best in the business. This person will assist our customers with designing and managing the installation of stormwater management jobs.

The right candidate has a basic understanding of water dynamics in the landscape and the challenges associated with small lots, clay soil and climate change. You tend to geek-out to hydrogeology and you know a thing or two about rain gardens, infiltration systems, piping, stormwater management, green infrastructure, and sustainable landscaping techniques. Most importantly, you have a desire to learn about these subjects.

You must demonstrate proficiency in sales; customer service; contract writing, estimating, project management; and a willingness to learn–especially about our unique stormwater drainage solutions.

The Stormwater Drainage Specialist must demonstrate applicable experience or education such as an accredited landscape design program, certificate or equivalent. Computer (Excel & Word) and confident sales skills a plus. Compensation based upon prior experience and skill level as demonstrated by portfolio.

Personal Gardener

This position is a daily, outdoor, hands-on opportunity to use healthy, organic techniques to create pride and comfort for your clients.  But this is not a hobby—you must be well organized and outgoing in order to manage your accounts financially and technically.  Office work includes time management, proposal writing, client management, and research and development of the company’s sustainable practices.

This position requires a degree in horticulture or similarly accredited certificate.  It also requires a demonstrable knowledge of plant ID, ecology, Integrated Pest Management, and horticultural planting and care techniques including vegetable gardening.  Design, sales and business skills are a plus, but will train to company standards. Hourly compensation based upon experience plus commission, plus incentives.  Email your resume and cover letter to jeff@digrightin.com.

Landscape Construction Foremen

Candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing installation crews.  In particular, you take pride in providing each customer with meticulous workmanship that will guarantee years of solid structures and natural beauty to your client’s property.

You must possess knowledge of sustainable installation practices, including proper hardscape construction (walks and patios, retaining walls, ponds) and softscape enhancement (site preparation and plantings).   You also must demonstrate leadership skills, customer service abilities, and training experience.  We will train to a variety of company standards so you must be flexible in the way you conduct construction processes.

A valid driver’s license, bilingual skills and ability to interact with customers and conduct business in line with company goals are required.  This is a great opportunity to work for an honest and reliable firm that will provide career advancement, skills and safety training.  Hourly compensation is commensurate with experience and demonstrated skills plus incentives. We hire without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, creed, age, color or national origin.
